Inspiration?

Well, I'm considering reopening my old writing forum and I'd like a few ideas for skins. The parchment thing seems overdone. I thought about stationery or books, but those don't seem very original, either. Of course it's impossible to find something that hasn't been done already, but maybe you guys can help me figure out a way to put a nice twist on it. I've been digging through ColourLovers trying to find an inspirational palette. Any advice would be much appreciated! Whether it's a code you really like that you'd like to see used more, a color scheme you've come across lately, a theme you think would be cool to see implemented, etc. My design skills really need exercised so anything at all would be a big help. :)

A great place for schemes is kuler.adobe.com/ The loading screen is actually the two main colors for this boards v3 lol.
