I'll always be a PC. I personally think Mac's are too complicated and tend to freeze a lot.

I was wondering why I wasn't able to post. Then I realized I wasn't logged in.
I think that the idea of any os being superior is ridiculous. They're all good, they're all bad, and ideal for different people. I personally stick with pc because it's what I'm used to and it's versatile enough to do anything I take interest in, but when I get funds I plan on having at least one system per os.

I am like minded. But then I realised there are about 3829482934 Linux distros so I just went with ubuntu.

I use to run Ubuntu for a while. It was pretty neat.

I'll choose PC over MAC any day. Been use to it for about all my life... and don't really feel the need to get use to another OS. Plus MACs in general are very over rated and over priced. Just because they have a sleek white keyboard and a mouse with a little ball instead of a wheel, doesn't mean that they can jack the prices up to the sky. Unfortunatley, people will still pay for them so they can remix their favorite GaGa songs in garage band and take funny pictures in the webcam editor until they get bored with it in about a week and realize the sad truth that they should have gotten a PC.

I agree that they are very much over priced, but when it comes down to media productivity, nothing beats Mac. And as a musician, you should understand that. I think Macs are very worth the money though. Not only is the user interface more intuitive, programs like Logic, Garageband etc are just more practical and easier to use. I pay for the operating system, not the hardware. Anyone who focuses on the hardware during a mac vs pc debate is a fool. Im not saying directly that OS X is "better", because both os x and windows have their ups and downs, but OS X definitely has the upper hand when it comes to being user friendly. When plugging in external sound cards and pre-amps, OS X picks it up instantly and downloads the necessary drivers. We plugged the sound cards and preamps into my brothers PC and we had to find the discs, and install the drivers, reset the computer... Damnit Jon, I will buy you a mac and bolt it to you if I have too! You will one day appreciate how much more productive you can be on a mac when it comes to music!

Saying one is better than the other is just silly. It depends what you do with it, and how streamlined you want it to be. A lot of programs are becoming cross-platform anyways, so most of these debates are useless. If you started with a mac, you'll probably keep using one. If you started with a PC, then you'll probably stick with that.
I will reiterate though that Macs are very underpowered for their price. My laptop beat out an iMac by a good hour whenever I was baking my physics for my animation. Though in it's defense, the iMac's colours where better when it actually rendered. So there are pros and cons to both.

Mac is amazingly overpriced. This is in my opinion their greatest weakness.

It is true. I mean they are slowly becoming more affordable, but at a very slow rate.

Professional. I just wish I didn't have to get used to a whole different OS to use a mac! lol Took a PS class at school and used a bunch of new MACs and the whole time we were just using the little bridge program so you can use the PC OS on a MAC and i'm just like, "WTF is the point?" xD I guess you can say I've had bad experiences. BUT, lol, in general, Apple can just stick a lowercase "i" in front of anything and sell it. This video says it perfect. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FL7yD-0pqZg
