Do you any of you use a tablet(pen tool) device for your computer? I own one but barely use the pen part of it. It came with an epic mouse, and I use that. But I havnt really been able to use it much in my designs.
How about you guys?

I have one, and I use very specifically. It's basically for whenever I use the brush tool or anything I could do better with pen and paper, like drawing.
Anything you need extreme precision though, you should stick with the mouse.

I really need a tablet. Like really bad. I'd love to practice out some pen tool work.

You can pick one up for pretty cheap. I know Wacom makes their bamboo fun line. I got mine at 8X6 for around $200, and I know they make a smaller one (4X3?) for half that price.

I got the same. The small one was.. meh. Too small to really draw. This ones not bad.
I find its hard to get used to. Because your drawing on a board, and it shows up on the screen. You'd think it wouldnt be that difficult, but it gets challenging.

I have a Bamboo tablet. When I was learning how to cell-shade, I used to scan my drawings and use the scan file as a temporary layer so I could "trace" using the pen tool in PS. I figured that with this tablet I wouldn't have to do that anymore, but you're right in that it takes some getting used to. I haven't spent that much time with it or given it a fair chance yet, though. It's been collecting dust in my desk drawer for a few months now. >.> Maybe I should start using it...
