Started today. Watching every episode from season 1 (sayain saga) to season 6 (cell saga). That's episodes 1-191 with fillers and all... haha.  Gohan and Piccolo are training right now for when Vegeta and Nappa come. |

Dragonball Z has got to be the best show ever made.
Vegeta and Nappa just got to Earth Time for DVD 4. xD only 32 more to go!

Sadly, the DVD has the funimation dub's version. It's not quite as epic as Ocean Group's dub (which is the famous one.)

Well, the best part of dragon ball Kai is the new aspect ratio and the full conversion to 1080p HD. That would bet he only reason to get it. Example here:  However, if you want a good picture with HD conversion on regular DVD. The Dragon Box set is wonderful. HOWEVER, the american music is taken out. That's why Ill continue to buy the orange DVD set. I want to option to have either the japanese dub or english dub. But I also want my english music! Some of the scores composed for the Funimation dub are the best background music for any anime out there. (See Ginyu's Transformation and Perfect Cell theme) |

I agree with you 100% on everything. The original Japanese music isn't bad... just so use to the American dub music... Vegeta's hell bells, cells music... You're exactly right, orange box set for the win.
Goku is fighting Ginyu right now, by the way. xD

Yeah, I think the reason I like the american music so much is because I grew up with it. Kai uses original japanese backing tracks, and I actually really enjoy them. But I don't know. if there was a way to use both. I'd be so happy lol.

Same here. Both music sounds good, just use to American music. And some of the American music just seems so iconic... Cell's theme, Vegeta bells, Ginyu body switch music... It wouldn't be the same without those.
